New Measurement worksheets aligned to White Rose Autumn term

Are you using the White Rose schemes of learning? We have released new tasks aligned to White Rose!

We have already released worksheets aligned to the White Rose small steps for all Number topics in Years 1-6. Now we’re delighted to announce that we have begun to add more worksheets to cover all Measurement topics.

The new content will be added to the site over a planned series of releases. The first two worksheets are available now and are aligned to the two Measurement blocks in the Autumn term: Year 4 Area and Year 6 Converting units.

The image shows three grids. On each grid, squares are shaded to form a shape. The user must find the area of each shape by counting the shaded squares.

This page from the Year 4 worksheet on area covers the topic of finding the area by counting squares.

Each page in the worksheets has been mapped to a small step from the White Rose v3.0 schemes of learning. The topic sequencing is designed to make the worksheets suitable for homework as well as end-of-block review, so you can use them in the way that suits you best.

You can find the new worksheets in the Booster packs area of the site; look for ‘WR’ in the booster pack title.

If you’re using the ‘National Curriculum (Eng)’ curriculum view, you can also find the worksheets in the Library under the section ‘Aligned to White Rose’.

The image shows a list of worksheet tasks in the ‘Aligned to White Rose’ section of the Library within the ‘National Curriculum (Eng)’ curriculum view. The task selected is “Area worksheet 4A” and the task description shown is “Finding the area of a shape by counting squares, making shapes with a given area, and comparing and ordering areas (steps 1-4 of this White Rose block).

Each task description includes details of the granular topics and specific small steps covered by the worksheet.

Look out for more worksheets for the Spring and Summer blocks on Measurement later this academic year!
