New worksheets for KS1: aligned to White Rose

Are you using the White Rose schemes of learning? We’re delighted to announce that we’ve completed the first in a planned series of new booster pack releases. These will offer new worksheets aligned to the White Rose v3.0 small steps for all Year 1 and Year 2 Number topics.

This first release includes 5 worksheets covering the block ‘Place value (within 10)’ from Year 1 and 4 worksheets covering the block ‘Place value’ from Year 2.

Each page in the worksheets has been mapped to a small step from the White Rose schemes of learning. The topic sequencing is designed to make the worksheets suitable for homework as well as end-of-block review, so you can use them in the way that suits you best.

The image shows a matching activity. Pupils need to match groups of 7 cars, 3 starfish, 4 leaves and 5 ladybirds to diagrams showing these numbers represented by counters in ten frames. — This page from a Year 1 worksheet covers the topic of representing real-life objects using manipulatives.

The image shows a list of worksheet tasks in the Booster packs area. The task selected is “Place value (within 10) worksheet 1A” and the task description shown is “Counting objects and representing objects using manipulatives and numerals, within 10 (steps 2-4 of this White Rose block).” — Each task description includes details of the granular topics and specific small steps covered by the worksheet.

These worksheets are supported by our read aloud feature so that children who aren’t yet confident readers can have the questions read out to them.
