New KS3 Booster: aligned to White Rose summer term

Are you using the White Rose schemes of learning? We are delighted to announce the release of a new KS3 booster pack on Secondary MyMaths, which is aligned with the White Rose curriculum.

We have worked with teachers who have extensive experience of using the White Rose schemes of learning to design these worksheets. All the small steps in the curriculum are covered to ensure that students can practice every key skill.

A worksheet page showing a question about fractional scale factors.

One of the pages from a new worksheet, asking questions about fractional scale factors.

A worksheet page showing a set of questions about speed, distance and time.

A page from a developing worksheet showing extra scaffolding that helps students solve problems about speed, distance and time.

We have released 31 new worksheets. These worksheets cover the first part of the White Rose schemes of learning for week 1 – 6 of the summer term across Year 7 – 9:

  • Constructing, measuring and using geometric notation (Yr 7)
  • Developing geometric reasoning (Yr 7)
  • Angles in parallel lines and polygons (Yr 8)
  • Enlargement and similarity (Yr 9)
  • Solving ratio and proportion problems (Yr 9)
  • Rates (Yr 9)

Worksheets in the following blocks across Years 7 – 9 will be available in late April 2023:

  • Area of trapezia and circles (Yr 8)
  • Line symmetry and reflection (Yr 8)

To access the new booster packs, select the Classic MyMaths, Middle school (England) or KS3 (England) curriculum views, and you will find them under the Revision and Assessment area – they are called ‘WR booster pack: Y7 Summer’, ‘WR booster pack: Y8 Summer’ and ‘WR booster pack: Y9 Summer’.
