As the Easter holidays approach, so do the first 9-1 GCSE Maths exams. But preparing for them doesn’t need to be daunting. Use the tools below this exam season:
There is a vast selection of resources in the MyMaths Library, but this doesn’t mean it’s difficult to find the resources you need. Use the Curriculum Selector dropdown to the left of the screen to filter all of the topics for the GCSE exams this summer. Just select GCSE exams 2017, 2018….
Revise and practise
Each topic on MyMaths has a lesson and an online homework. Students can revisit the topic via the lesson, and then put the theory into practice with the online homework. MyMaths uses random number generation so students can practise again and again with unlimited questions. The red, amber and green icons help students to see at a glance which topics they need to work on, without wasting valuable revision time on topics that are secure.
Need help finding revision that is targeted at the right level for your students? Revision guides usually address the whole specification at all levels which means students may spend too much time revising topics they find easy, or get discouraged by the volume of topics they find hard. Our booster packs offer a more targeted approach.
Students can use the revision lessons to check their initial understanding, revise and practise key skills and get hints on exam-style questions. The online worksheets test understanding and help student and teacher alike see where more help is needed. Booster packs for the new GCSE can be found in Classic MyMaths or GCSE exams 2017, 2018, … and are available for the following:
- Grades 4 and 5
- Grades 6 and 7
- Grades 8 and 9
You can assign these packs to individual students or a whole class in the Assessment Manager by allocating “all worksheets”, allowing you to track results. Why not set a pack for your students to work through over the Easter holidays?
Wishing you and your students all the best with revision!
